i hacked some things i used an explot script in jedi knight jedi academy that made 50 bots connect to server and you can put what ever names you want on it good times!

Guys first of all, hacking is mean to exploit a security breach, not just installing something you found online. So yeah Script Kiddies != Hacking

Lets just say that I'm glad my computer science teacher/school's tech guy is to lazy to install programs (including antivirus) on computers of the students, and trusts us CS students with domain admin privileges. LAN games during break (with high priority), messing with people who are annoying, and blocking teachers from accessing the net. Best of all, he doesn't care. (btw, my school requires each person to have a laptop, so can mess with anyone)

i got an attack on my computer by some ip, i check the ip class owner and notice that this was their second class c. So i check their first class c that was the one just before and found a share that was open without password containing the info of around 25 000 people who was their internet customer (i was inside a computer of the ISP) beside that around 1000 customer was paying with credit card so i have their card number and expiration date.
to video the media coverage at the moment :

it's in french because it was in Québec, Canada.

I hacked my high school's .exe protector...
Then I installed games onto the C: drive (into the /Windows directory where the admin's detection software didnt search).
The only problem was I couldnt get the shortcuts, so I installed firefox to the quicklaunch bar, and navigated through the drives, got all the links and put them in my network drive.
I tampered with it soo much that the computer no longer was seen by the school's spy package thing, have no idea how it happened. I told my friends sitting next to me how to do it, and soon it was network wolfenstein in our computer class...

My Nokia phone. The packaging said free MP3 ringtones. THEY LIED.
Even got the GPS working. Sadly unlocking the phone led to me using it as a video player which melted the video processor. Phone still works though.

yes, many things. Not so much computer related, but everyday appliances and things I've owned over the years to make them better or more customized. Think my cars, home theater, home networking, computer cases. Or when my clothes dryer breaks I hack together some contraption to make it work again with parts from hardware store. That's also hacking I think.

1) I was admin of 50+ drafting room computers.
I installed my own security software. And it messed around with dos a lot. it hacked IO.SYS, CONFIG.SYS and command.com making changes so it loaded alternative config files. Had my own program launcher to load programs/windows with tight serurity. It had its own command prompt and windows lick gui software.

At the end of the school year the computer science guy decided to have all the computers reloaded with a newer version of autocad without going threw me (some other punk was helping out and he was out for revenge as I uninstalled his previous security software), anyways to cut a long story short, they were really trying hard to find out what I did to the computers. They ended up having to format all the computers. Serves them right for trying to bypass me since it was my job not theirs 😉

2) 1 year later.

back in the good old days of windows 3.11. I was using a pc everyday at school for developing. Improoving my software etc.

But one day the admin decided to install security software on the harddrive.(it was my arch nemesis form previous year) It locked down windows and dos, and I could not get conttrol of the computer. But I still had some of my programs I developed on the pc.

Command prompt still worked. Had to find a work around to get it to load. But command prompt was locked down so I could not run software or rename files. But found a hack, instead of running 'attrib' i ran /dos/attrib and the command worked fine. But still I was not able to edit config files as they were locked (file sharing). And my program could not hack IS.SYS and MSDOS.SYS, since the program protects those files too 🙁.

to Cut a long story short....

What I ended up doing, was hex edited the hardrive (I had no file access so I could not edit the file directly) and changed the contents of where config.sys was located to disable the device driver from loading. After reboot I had full control of the system. Used ctrl-C to bypass autoexec.bat form loading the locked down windows.Changed windows ini files to disable restrictions set by foolproof.
I hacked IO.SYS and MSDOS.SYS and made it so it used alternative config files to load dos so they could not lock down the system again. I thought it was best to use alternative names as other people could change config.sys/autoexec.bat all they want and not be able to gain control.(as they didnt know what files to change).

After I did some finishing up work so I could enable somewhat security so the admin didn't know the computer was compremised and also prevent others from serewing up the pc.

Servies them right for trying to mess me a second year in a row!

After that the computer science guy and that stupid terd (my nemises) left me alone, and decided the computer was in better hands :)

So I had control of the PC until I graduated. ANd continued to do my developement.

A security software is only good if there are no tools on the PC to use a weapons!!!!

Basically I fooled foolproof..... what a joke...

For as long as I used the PC, the computer never was messed up, so I am cluseless why they decided to install security software on it. It was not needed. ANd they deserved to get their butts kicked.

1. Jailbroke my iphone
2. The tape and straw mod for my playstation 2 slim along with swap magic
3. Will be hackintoshing in a couple of days

I think hackers that say "real hackers don't tell" are about as silly as can be. Hacking just means to modify the default way something was built, works or looks. We all hack items from time to time. The older they get, the more willing we are to hack them and tinker, this leads to invention and creation - the building off of one idea to create something better. Hacking sounds negative, but it's not. I guess the term "cracking" is the more mischevious version of that, but then I really don't care enough to know the difference.

does this count

i am making a custom OS for my calculator (TI-89) and i managed to make an installer that deleted TI's OS and install my boot loader (right now it just loads a block off of the flash and displays "YAY!!!"), right now im working on the task switcher (thats right multi tasking on the ti-89) and the program loader to load asm programs built for the OS

[citation][nom]djtronika[/nom]no. and anyone that says they have isn't a real hacker.that's the point of a hacker.[/citation]
The first rule of hacking.....YOU DON'T TALK...ABOUT HACKING! lol...

I changed an ATI 9800 Pro to a 9800 XT with a BIOS hack. Does that count?

We call your kind script kiddies.

What?!?!? Is this a sign of the times or what? The economy is so bad Tom’s is phishing for people to brag about what they have done so they can turn them in for a reward to help pay the bills!!!!

Oh, the humanity!!!!

LOL
