I currently have a HP P7-1155 and just installed a quadro k6000 with a power supply upgrade. After installing it into my computer, I have yet to see a difference in my FPS, did I forget to do something? Do I need to install drivers? If so where do I find them?

New PSU just installed it same day as GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194116&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

Then the gpu wasn't being detected because you had video out the igpu before? Do the gpu fans even spin? Is there anything else you could put in the slot to make sure it works? Did your friend give such an expensive card away because it was faulty?

The igpu has been disabled but the problem is I cannot connect the monitor to the gpu. Yes gpu fan spins, doubt he'll do that to me, he's a cool guy. What wires do you use to connect monitor to gpu because I've tried hdmi to dvid and vga to dvid using a vga to dvia adapter

I am planning to get something like this "http://www.walmart.com/ip/43553842?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227031373578&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=56073568256&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=100168920056&veh=sem"

I meant what specific model, give me a link. But it sounds backwards. The adapter goes into the gpu not monitor. Male end of the adapter needs to go into the gpu. There shouldn't be any active converting but some adapters are weird like that and only go one way.
