Qualcom Atheros Killer Network

I just finish my computer build with MSI Mpower Motherboard and I installed Qualcom Atheros Killer Network, but i didn't like to show up every time I started my computer so I uninstalled it and I lost my network connection, I can't connect to the internet any more. Why would this software take my network drives with it? Can anybody tell me if I can get this program off without loosing my internet?

I dont think you can, I think its part of the driver. I had the G-45 Gaming and it had the same software, you can just close it, but it still runs in the system tray. All I ever noticed with it was it had a priority order and it kept track of the amount of data that passes through it.

As far as I understand it, they are 'intertwined' like the GPU software (NVidia Control Panel or AMD Catalyst Suite) to manage and enable the Killer card to function at top performance. If during installation there is no 'OPTIONS' when installing the software, then the answer is NO, you are required to install the 'software' with the drivers to make it all work 'as advertised'. Now if you don't want the software to appear when you startup, you can simply disable the 'startup' usually by going the software 'options' and telling it NOT to load with Windows.

For the NIC problem, go to the Qualcom website, download the "Killer Cleaner" and the Win 8 drivers. Run the Killer Cleaner on your system and remove all traces of the Killer Suite. Re-install ONLY THE WIN 8 DRIVERS, NOT THE KILLER SUITE. See if that fixes your problem.
