Hi there good folks @ Toms,
I'm putting together a new build mainly for heavy video editing/FX, some 3D stuff [old software plus Max/Blender].
Have bought the case [Carbide Air 540, very happy there] and pretty happy with the spec so far, though I wonder is there a downside to too much overhead on PSU wattage.
Build as below, am going with the Z97 board for SLI option later on [no overclocking] hence the high wattage PSU. The Seasonic X reviews very well and quietness is a major issue. So is cooling. I'm playing a balancing act. [Heavy video rendering in Summer ambient temps 30C sometimes more needs the airflow]
Thoughts on the PSU wattage?
