Quantum Fireball ST 6.4

Hello Everyone,
I have a Quantum Fireball ST 6.4 IDE HD and I cant get to boot up, sometimes it says write protection error or if I have it set as a slave it dont get seen in the bios, I have tried the quantum Diag. stuff but no help... Maybe someone has a Idea for me. Thanks.

You didnt say wether the bios recognised it,(Im assuming it dosent), you may have to put the data in manually, (sectors, ect) if that dosent work then, I would set it as the master and see if the bios auto detects it, if the bios dosent detect it and its set as the only hdd you have, then its a problem with the drive itself

I have tried to have it as a master also but I havent tried to put the info in manually, I will try it... Any other suggestions.
