[SOLVED] Queries regarding Lenovo Legion 5 pro 3070 variant

Hi All, hope everyone is doing good.

I am planning to buy Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 3070 Variant. So just wanted to know the below details .

1. is the memory kit x16 or x8 ( I remember reading somewhere that in india it was x8 ) . if anyone can confirm.
2. the free ssd slot, is it a m2 2280 slot ? I have a crucial mx500 m2 2280 and planning to use it to upgrade the storage?

The first question doesn't make sense. X16/x8 typically refers to pcie lanes. Ram cards can be sold anywhere from 1 - 16 gb per slot. The m.2 slot can house a 2280 since it's the most common.

1. According to Lenovo's website there are 3 memory configurations for that laptop 1 x 8gb stick, 2 x 8gb sticks, and 2 x 16gb sticks depending on what you choose / the configuration you buy. The only configurations of RAM available to the 3070 configuration are 2 x 8gb or 2x 16gb. So the one you are looking at with a 3070 has at least 2 x 8gb of RAM.

Are you referring to the amount of ranks? Because if you are you wont know until you get the laptop, open it up, and check for yourself. Since they are using 2 x 8gb kits its most likely 2 single rank x8 bank kits.

Yes I am referring to the ranks. The one that I am going to buy is having 32 gb ram

So 16gb dimms made right now all are dual rank dimms as far as I am aware.
