Toms,

I just installed a ASUS P8B75-M/CSM into my old case (not the signiature case, fractal define mini r3). I have two issues that may not be issues and wanted input.
1st: I had a heck of a time getting the motherboard to sit correctly against the I/O shield. The I/O shield kept bowing out. I finally got it but I slid my motherboard around on top of on and off of the standoffs and motherboard plate. How durable are motherboards? This has to of happened to others who couldn't get the darn thing to match up.

2nd. On very first boot I accidentally had the master switch on the psu in the "on" position. I plugged it in and it power up right away. It wanted to go to the bios and I did. Exited and restarted. It then powered up, posted briefly and then powered down, then powered up again and booted off my Windows 7 disc. Is the double start normal after 1st boot? Never seen it before. Thank you.

Solution
I don't understand how your I/O shield would bow out unless you somehow installed it wrong, or one or more of the spring tabs (like to each side of the USB ports) was bent. Sliding the board around gently should not be a big deal.

Double starts normally indicate a BIOS setting issue, but in this case it may have been a feature of the BIOS. If it continues to double post it will need to be addressed.
