So I was about to log on to Guild Wars 2 last night. I tried to open up my client and all of a sudden my screen dims and computer freezes (all but the mouse). For five minute it sits like this and I cannot do anything until AVG opens up and says that my Guild Wars 2 client has/is a trojan and it failed to remove the threat.
I am no virus expert, so excuse my lack of knowledge on this subject.
Is this something to be worried about? I know that the client itself is not a trojan, but do they move from program to program so that it's possible that it is one? Or how does that work?
I'm a little afraid to open it back up again. And I have no issue reinstalling it if that's what it takes.
I did a full computer scan last night with AVG and it turned up nothing, so I'm a bit confused. Any help/guidance is appreciated. Thanks.
