[SOLVED] Question about bios update.

Hello,
I have ASRock B450M Pro4 motherboard and last time I updated my bios was like 1.5 years ago, so I went to my motherboard site because I wanted to download new bios version but there is a problem...
On a newer bios versions it says this "*ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if you are going to use Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU on your system. " and I'm using Raven ridge CPU (Ryzen 3 2200G). So I wanted to ask if there is any risk updating my bios?

Updating the Bios always has some risk.

BIOS chips have limited space for code. It's likely that your BIOS update does not have space enough for all AMD processors. If you updated, it's possible your processor would no longer be supported.

As I always advise with BIOS updates. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

As @lvt notes: there's always some risk updating BIOS. But there's always some risk simply turning your system on too.

There can be significant improvements to system performance and memory compatibility so updating may be worth it, especially if having memory stability issues. But whether it's worth it in your case depends on what version it's on. For a Raven Ridge APU v. 2.00 would probably be about as far as you need go but under no circumstance go beyond 3.50. ALWAYs read and follow the notes and, especially with Asrock, it's highly advised to update every version in sequence between where you're at and your target version.

One significant risk with some versions is that you can not revert to an earlier version after the update. It's noted where that applies...keep it in mind.
