Question about CPU_OPT

I have a Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 motherboard, and a Asetek 510LC liquid CPU cooler. I noticed it was connected to the CPU_FAN connection(I didn't put the system together) and that there is an open CPU_OPT connection defined by Gigabyte to be used for a liquid cooler. I'm curious if the cooler will run more effectively connected to the OPT.

The CPU_OPT header is there for a secondary CPU fan, dual radiator fans or a liquid cooled system that needs two CPU headers for use with the pump and radiator fans. Both should have identical function.
