Question about fan controllers

I have a fan controller that came with my case and I have 3 fans in my case but on my motherboard I have 2 fan power slots so does that mean that I am supposed to plug the fan controller into the molex cable and then plug those 3 other cables out of my fan controller into the fan cables themselves? Sorry for the newb question but I can't completely think straight as I am so exited! Thank you guys in advance!

Yes if you want to control them all by the fan controller (not much point having it otherwise).
