Question Question about gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 compatibility

I have a gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 mother board with an amd fx tm -6300 six-core processor CPU. Im trying to get my computer VR ready so I was going to get an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 CPU but im not sure if its compatible with the mother board. if not any recommendations?

Not going to work. You will need a B450 chipset motherboard at the very least. Given your motherboard question I'm worried about the rest of your components and their age.

You can reuse your case, OS and possibly HDD but apart from that you need a full upgrade for VR.
