Question about gpus ans streaming

Hi, does the gpu relieve pressure off the cpu when streaming? Like if i have a i7 7700k and a gtx 1080 would the gpu take some weight off of the cpu so i would get more fps or something. Ty

Yes, nvidia's nvenc can be used for streaming but the quality is much worse than CPU encoding. If you knew you were going to be streaming when building that system, you should have gone with Ryzen instead because that quad core cannot handle that powerful a GPU and streaming at the same time.
