Hello, i got a detailed question. So i want this 4k monitor for the xboxone x, but i wanna know it has display port 1.2 and hdmi but it doesn’t support 4k@60hz it supports 4k@24hz will a HDMI 2.0 to display port 1.2 adapter make this monitor display at 4k@60hz ? Thanks this is the monitor https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fw... and the hdmi 2.0 display port adapter https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fw...

No, it will not support 4k@60 Hz via HDMI (even with a DP adapter). The monitor doesn't support HDMI 2.0. If your source (PC, laptop, etc.) does not have a DisplayPort output, I recommend not purchasing this for your setup. In addition, G-Sync requires an Nvidia GPU and DisplayPort connection.

There is a couple of points to make here. You might be right. I did not know that HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort 1.2 converters exist. That may work in this case. However, the adapter link you provided is not correct. That adapter is for converting from DisplayPort to HDMI 2.0. From what I can see, the converters are not cheap and hard to come by.

Here are a few that I have found:

SIIG CE-H22Z11-S1

GoMax CV-524

I do not think it is worth it. I stand by my original recommendation.

Yeah i had a feeling it was possible, but see i want this monitor because it has good specs and i doubted it cause of the 4k@24hz but saw you can make it run at 4k@60hz so i changed my mind but any of those links will work for the monitor to run at 4k@60hz ?

It is becoming very apparent to me that you really want this monitor. Those are a few adapters that I found. They seem hard to come by. You may want to hunt around for other options.

You may have to cross one device off the list. From the Amazon link, it says that the SIIG CE-H22Z11-S1 will not work with your monitor at 4K:

"Not fully compatible with Nvidia G-Sync monitors due to mismatched timings. Only supports up to 1080p for these monitors."

That is not the right converter/adapter. That has a HDMI input and HDMI output. You are specifically looking for HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort 1.2.

Partilink replied to me and said that it will not work with G-Sync monitors. From what I can see, most converters do not work with G-Sync monitors. I am curious to know the reason. Hopefully they will respond to me with a reason why.
