Question about MSI Z87-GD65 motherboard and ASUS R9270 video card

Hi, I was wondering whether the MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming motherboard would be compatible with the ASUS R9270 video card? It looks to be via the PCIE 3.0 slot, but GooeyPC is telling my it isn't compatible, and I would like to know why.

yes, it would be compatible, you only need a PCIe 3.0 empty slot available at mobo.
and MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming supports it.
even on older gen PCIe2.0 mobos would be compatible too.
