hi there. recently i had my psu not shutting off properly . my pc shuts off and works fantastic but psu stays on. so i bought a tester to test it and i found out that the pg light was not on. my question is if keeping a psu with P.G light not on will cause my other computer parts damage . is it safe to keep this psu since i am a student and very tight on money these days. just to let you know since pc wont shutts down but psu remains on, i unplug the main power connector to turn off the psu. thanks

After PC shutdown, the PSU stays "live" (but without the fan running) until you turn it off with it's rocker switch, and even then it will remain live for a while because of the capacitors inside it.

That is normal behaviour.

I never used a tester so I can't answer your question about the 'PG' (Power Good) light. Maybe you're not using the tester properly?
