Question about power supply pins and video card

so currently im building my first computer......

and im having a issue connecting my power supply to my video card with a 8 or 6 pin connector

i have a evga gtx 560 and 800W silent pro gold psu

My issue involves the connectors between the psu and the video card as they dont seem to have the same shape holes (square for example) aligned correctly

could anyone help me resolve this issue?

a 6 pin pci-e power connector is a unique shape . An 8 pin is almost always a 6 pin with 2 more pins that clip on and those will be on the same cable bundle .

Look more closely the connectors are there
