[SOLVED] Question about QVL and Memory

Hi, I have a question about memory. I am thinking about purchasing a STRIX Z490-E board and I am looking at the QVL for the memory, here: https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z490-e-gaming-model/helpdesk_qvl_memory/


One of the part numbers on the QVL is F4-3600C16Q-32GTZN but this is G.SKILL Trident Z Neo memory. When I look at it on newegg, it says (For AMD Ryzen).
Why would the QVL for an Intel board, recommend memory designed for AMD?

any memory will do, qvl is the recommended part for compability, anyways the xmp should be compatible each other.

The "For AMD Ryzen" statement is one of marketing. The part number being included in the QVL takes precedence, IMO.
