Hi.
I've got an old Samsung LE32A556 TV and I would like to connect an even older audio tape deck or tuner to it via its RCA audio in.

The problem is that the TV doesn't offer the possibility of using just the audio in without any video source connected on the composite video. Is there a way to trick the device by just using an extra RCA on one of the composite video ins or any other idea like an adaptor or something?
Thanks.

This all depends on what the TV thinks is a video signal. If you are not afraid of burning out the TV with some odd signal it may not like and blow the board, try just using a splitter and send an audio signal to the video input. Unless you want to by some cheap DVD player and just play that.

Really you may be better off just buying some powered speakers for that tape deck. It will sound much better and you don't need to mess around with trying to get the TV to work without a video input.
