Hey all.

I still have a 1080p monitor, but am going to make the jump to a 1440p OLED one in a couple of months.
But I want to test my PC already for it, and now I've heard of Super Resolution that you can enable in
Nvidia Control Panel.

But when enabling 1440p there, is it the same level of resource intensity as the normal 1440p gaming is?
So for example i can expect the same FPS in-game then both on 1080p with 1440p Super Resolution enabled compared to normal 1440p with the new monitor?

I know my PC can handle 1440p quite well because I have a Ryzen 5800X3D and a 4070 Ti Super, but I'm still curious to see my FPS on 1440p beforehand.

Thanks in advance.

No.

Nvidia Super Resolution is only for video playback and doesn't affect gaming at all.

RTX 4070 Ti Super averages about 128 FPS on 1440p without Ray Tracing. With Ray Tracing, you're looking at ~102 FPS on average.

For specific game FPS, better to look that game results from reviews.
E.g TH's review of RTX 4070 Ti Super: https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-super-review/2

9 games tested without Ray Tracing, 6 games tested with Ray Tracing.
