Hello all,

I have seen 128bit versions and 256bit versions of this card. Nvidias site says its a 128 bit card. Does anyone know if the 256 bit versions are just false? I honestly have no clue. I am in the market for a card and the 7600gt seems like a great deal.

The 7600gt has a 128bit bust and the 7900gt and gtx has a 256bit bus.
try rereading the sites more carefully.

I can and do read. Try going to newegg.com and searching for 7600gt. You will find 2 versions a 128 bit one and a 256 bit one. That is unless they have changed them from this morning. Just checked and no they have not changed. Here is a link.

Just because someone has a question that you think is stupid, does not mean they are stupid. I do have a BS in Social Science and am teaching High School History. I just wanted some info on if there were really 2 versions or just some typos.

But thanks to the others that responded.

They are indeed listing both. So I checked eVGA's site and for the same part number they've got the card listed as 128 bit. So its probably a listing error on newegg's part.
