but when i read some of the reviews people are saying it dosent work for "k" models can anyone confirm that?

would this cooler be worth the extra 20$...

Either one should be fine with that CPU without some wild OC. TT might have a bit quieter fan though but both have PWM fans easilly adjustable for speed.

My experience with Thermaltake coolers is awful mounting mechanisms and cpu cooler sag, especially on the tower ones. I'd recommend the Cooler Master one.

ok thanks guys one last question just to be 100% sure this is my mobo it says LGA 1151 thas all that really matters wen trying to make sure it will fit?

Yes, socket type is only thing that matters when it comes to mounting compatibility. If buying second hand make sure it comes with all mounting hardware, many loose parts.

I rec the Deepcool GAMMAXX 400 V2.

Everyone says Thermaltake is crap. The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is a nightmare of a puzzle to put together without worrying over mobo damage. Noctua and Thermalright are the best and their prices reflect that (although there is a cool black Noctua low profile fan for a good price these days, but it's small and you'd need other fans.)

I used this Deepcool one for around a week when I was returning and receiving another fan from Newegg. It was great! My pc was about 10c cooler than the one I'm using now. The only reason I can't use the Deepcool is that it's too big for my case and I'd have to keep the side open. (Deepcool Cooler is 155mm tall. Hyper 212 EVO is 159mm tall.) I didn't even bother returning it to Newegg, it's so cheap it wouldn't be worth it and I like having spare parts around anyway.
