I had originally planned to upgrade my mobo, CPU and GPU all at once early next year but now that the 970s are out, I am tempted to grab one now. My question is will I run into a bottleneck with my i5-2500k running at stock speed? I have overclocked it in the past and could do so again if it would make a difference in using the 970 efficiently. My mobo is an MSI P67A-GD55 and I have 8 GB of RAM. Thanks!

your cpu is fine, however if you have the money upgrading would be good as well! The good thing is, you can always buy the cards and upgrade your other components now or later and still use your cards! So its basically up to you whether you want to do it now or later! as far as your system specs now you wont have a problem, but things could always be improved.. with that said, you can improve something every month so basically if your system does what you want and performs things you do well dont upgrade if it needs help doing things then upgrade!
