Hey guys i was just wondering.
i have a monitor with a refresh rate of 60 and i think my GPU ASUS TUF GTX 1660 Super is only capable of 1920x1080 on 60fps
but im playing GTA Online and im getting a much higher frame rate than 60 with V-SYNC OFF
i learned from reading around the internet the V-SYNC does not have an impact in your system resources it is still working as is with or without V-SYNC.
so does that mean my GPU is working as hard regardless of the V-SYNC ON/OFF ?
because if that is the case then its an awful waste if i restrain my PC to 60fps with VSYNC when its working hard to give more than 60fps anyway. im not extending the lifetime of my hardware anyway.
i might as well turn V-SYNC OFF but deal with the screen tearing some other way.
what you guys think ?
