Hello, I'm going to buy a heatsink for my system. I want to go with air cooling because I am new at system building and I am afraid in using water cooling.
I'm using Maximus V Formula E-ATX mobo and I don't know if I can install big heatsink without interfer with my RAM slots, I'm going to use G.Skill Sniper RAM it is low-profile RAM. I gonna OC my i7-3770K to 4.2Ghz.
I have two options for CPU coolers:
Zalman CNPS11X Extreme or Thermaltake Frio OCK?

Zalman is less big but i heard that it has problems with dust. Is it True?
Thermaltake has 2 fans and good performance.

What difference in performance between this coolers has?
And anybody who had Thermaltake Frio OCK, can it be installed in my system?

What's better for me?

My specs:
i7-3770k 4.2GHz
Maximus V Formula
MSI R7970 Lightning
G.Skill Sniper 4x4Gb
Cm storm Trooper Window chassis.
Corsair HX 1050W Gold

Help me please need your advice.
Thanks!

as i stated in your other question regarding the Zalman Extreme, it is a great cooler. I have some rather high profile ram (corsair vengence) however, there was still two possible directions that i could fit the zalman onto my motherboard, and that is WITH having the radiators on my P67 FTW board... they were actually more of an issue then the ram. you should be just fine with the board and case that you have. If you would like, PM me and ill send you a few pics of how it looks on the board, next to the board, and whatnot
Unless you have really good screens at all the fan openings and the spaces in the case are sealed you will always get some amount of dust and the fans will swirl it around and it will attach to everything. You do have to routinely clean out the inside of the case from dust build up. The Zalman heasink is not alone with the dust problem , they all have it. As long as you get low profile ram sticks you won't have an issue with the heatsink.
I have used Zalman heatsinks and think they are very good , they have been making them for a lot of years and are considered one of the top names in cooling. The Thermaltake Frio looks like it might be a good heatsink and to be honest you can choose either one and be happy with the choice.
