Question abuot the i5 750.

I am confused as to why is the 750 better then ,say , i5 660.I know it has 2 more cores but the frequence is lower by about 650 mhz.What performance do you get from the two extra cores that makes the 750 better?

Having 2 more cores is like having 2 more workers. The I5 660 will perform a little better in single threaded tasks due to higher clock speed, but the I5 750 will perform much better in multithreaded tasks because it has twice the number of cores.
