Hi, guys!
I have an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Processor and I wanted to know what would be the "normal" temperature it should have when Idle.
Mine doesn't go lower than 44°C and I've been told is a little to high.
I've also been having some issues since the time I installed a new GPU (I went from an Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti). The computer shuts down when I play games with good graphics (such as ArcheAge or Nosgoth) because, apparently, it's overheating.
I've already cleaned the cooler fan and the heat sink of the processor, but I'm afraid it could happen again. So, I'd also like to know what's the maximum temperature the CPU can reach without getting damaged, just so I can keep and eye on it.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, I replaced the thermal paste about a month ago, because I changed my MOBO.
So, 80°C would be the maximum it can take, but 62-65°C would be the "safer" maximum.
Would you say buying a couple of cooler fans would make a important difference? I can't afford water cooling, but maybe normal coolers could help. I, really, have no idea how big of an impact they have in the PC's performance.
I'm using Core Temp to check my CPU Temperature. Is it bad? Any suggestions?

Lol .. they have .. a cpu with a low temperature cooled by a good cooler improve the gaming performance because a processor with high temperatures such as his processor he will have always lag without a good cooler .
It's important even if you dont believe .

I get what you are saying. It contributes to the performance, but in an indirect way.
That's it. I'm buying a couple of cooler fans and a new cooler for the CPU as soon as possible.
Thanks to you all!
