So i was looking around for a new GPU since my monitor is a FreeSync monitor and i came across this card https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137256 but the one thing that got me thinking is why is it so cheap for a 8gb card to begin with because every other card after that one that cost more are 4GB versions so i want to know from people that owned/owns this card what are the pros and cons and also i am not trusting the reviews on there since more than half of the reviews are about mining.

Solution
Hard to say. I have the Sapphire 580 Nitro+ (which I think is quite similar to the Pulse) and I really like it. At 1080p/high settings (which the 570 is best suited for) 4GB is usually enough, and if it's not I think you should be able to work around it without too much difficulty by tweaking a few settings (like texture levels). If you're ok with that 4GB is probably fine.

On the other hand if you have good case airflow and/or low ambient temperatures, the cooler on the Armor may be all you need. Or if your PC has good sound insulation, it's not too close to you when you're gaming, and/or you game with a headset then the noise may not be an issue if the fans have to ramp up to keep it cool. I don't know if it's really cut out for...
Armor is MSI's budget line of cards. It will have a worse cooler than premium cards, so it'll run a little hotter/louder. I've heard the Armor cards use the same PCB as MSI's line of Gaming brand cards, which are good.

That does seem unusually cheap though. There's no fatal flaws in the card AFAIK (I had the 580 8GB Armor for a bit, didn't notice anything other than the cooler). If you're willing to spend a bit of time to undervolt (which is a good idea regardless, and pretty easy), you can mitigate at least some of the heat/noise. Seems like a pretty good deal. Although some people might argue you don't really need 8 GB of VRAM on a 570.

Well the only other card i was thinking of getting was this one https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202283 but like i said it costs a little more and it is 4GB and would also be the first time using Sapphire but of course the only reason why i am looking at that company is because they're only focus on AMD cards so really should i sacrifice 4GB of Vram then for better cooling?

I don't know if it's really cut out for overclocking though if you're interested in that, would probably get hot and noisy pretty fast. As I mentioned, I'd sooner undervolt that card than overclock.

Edit: If you don't necessarily need to purchase right away, this can be a good place to watch for deals on graphics cards (and other components): https://www.reddit.com/r/bapcsalescanada/

[strike]That price is way too high for that card, for $170 you can get the Asus Dual RX 580 4gb which will outperform that RX 570. That being said I hear the Asus Dual cards don't have the best cooling so you'd probably want to create a custom fan curve on it.

I'm actually getting this card after work today for my build, was initially going with the RX 570 but considering the price was the same as the Powercolor RX 570 Devil and it has a 3 year warranty instead of 1 and Microcenter price matches Newegg/Amazon it's a pretty good deal.

As long as I don't forgot I'll let you know how it turns out (performance/gaming temps).[/strike]

Thanks for the info and also I usually stick to newegg.ca when buying parts cause i usually get good deals when i hop on there and i have been shopping on that site for a little over 2 years now.

The average games i usually play would tend to require 2gb to 4gb of Vram overall i was thinking of 8gb for VR until i tried out some VR games and started to get sick and the average games as of right now i am playing is Mad Max, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Wildlands, Deus Ex MD and sometimes Overwatch and also cooling and quietness is the most important thing for me and to be honest i think it would be best for me to wait for newer cards that what ever game i play would really require 8gb of Vram and really the only game on my wishlist on steam that is demanding right now is Shadow of the Tomb Raider which i would be fine playing high/very high instead of playing it on ultra.

When you buy a card , you buy it for a few years so more vram is always better.

Again it depends on what people would be playing as well because yes a RX 570 8gb would be nice but i wouldn't see any improvements If i was to use a 4gb model because 2 main games i am playing right now is Shadow Warrior 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider and for RottR i have seen is only a 1 to 2 fps difference.

There are other games i would play in the future but i know they are not demanding games and even so if there is a game that would suggest something like a RX 480/580 8gb card to play on very high settings i would be happy to play it on high settings as well because for me max settings is not so much of an importance and hell right now i was playing games like Ghost Recon Wildlands on medium and Rise of the Tomb Raider on a mix of medium and high settings which when i benched those games on high settings i didn't see too much of a difference and honestly the only way i would buy a 8gb card if one it is on sale for a very low price and two if the card can be cooled and kept quiet cause no one really wants a video card that sounds like a jet taking off 24/7.
