Question of 2500k

i got a 2500k, with giga-z68x-ud3h-b3 mbd. i oc it to 4.6ghz under 1.33v, load line 5, and all others are auto. it's quite stable.

however, i got something wired. i am in ubuntu 10.4 64 bit system, kernel 3.3.1.

sudo dmidecode -t 4 command will provide me information about this cpu.
and following is what i got:

it's quite strange there is no L3 cache, and max speed is 4000Mhz.

any idea of it? thanks a lot.

max speed is probably max turbo speed which is set in the bios. Obviously you've bypassed that. LOL

Otherwise I think linux needs to catch up with the i5

i think i disabled turbo, and kernel is very recent stable one, less than a month.
it should support i cpu pretty good.

Might be a BIOS bug since that tool is getting data from DMI. Try updating it and check again. It's probably not affecting your performance at all however.
