Question on adding a soundcard on my Asus Gryphon Z87 mobo

I'm using an Asus Gryphon motherboard on my latest build & planning on adding a PCI-E soundcard (ASUS Xonar Essence ST 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Audio Card) on the last PCI-E x16 slot with the use of a short PCI-E riser cable. The last PCI-E x16 slot only runs max at x4 mode & compatible with PCI-E x1 & x4 devices (as stated on the motherboard's user guide). The case (Corsair Obsidian 350D) has an extra PCI-E slot at the bottom for me to install the soundcard. I don't wanna use the PCI-E x1 2nd slot of the motherboard as I'm also planning to install a wireless AC Wi-Fi card on it in the future (it's also very tight to fit a riser cable on the 2nd slot with the Thermal Armor covering the extra space on the side of the slot). My question is (since I'm using two GTX 680s on dual SLI running X8)...

Will adding a PCI-E soundcard on the 3rd PCI-E x16 slot slow down my video cards to x4 mode?

there is a possibility that it will turn down to x4 cause by using 3 pci-e slot so bottom two will work on x4 . . sound card doesn't make much difference on sound to a normal user (gamer also) despite of the extra amps on headphone it provides

So there's really no real value adding a sound card. But what if I install a sound card will it slow down my dual SLI video cards to x4? I really want a sure answer on this.

I googled that and found a card named exactly that on Newegg... It uses PCI, not PCIe.

Nevermind, I got the answer to my question...

The 1st & 2nd PCI-E x16 3.0 slots are controlled by the CPU & the 3rd is PCI-E x2.0 slot is controlled by the Z87 chipset. So I can use it for my sound card without worrying about the speed of the other PCI-E x16 slots.
