I am considering on getting an AIO for my i5-12600KF as it gets super hot when playing BG3. My question is: Can I use said AIO on a new system that I am thinking of building that uses an AMD CPU? Are the tiles? the same for both an Intel and an AMD CPU? What I mean by tiles is the contact area for the CPU. Will I have to buy a new AIO for the AMD or can I move it from the Intel build?

most aio work fine with all chips intel and amd.

the only thing thats diffrent is the mounting brackets most amd brackets rely on the stock back plate while intel uses a whole new backplate mounting system.

120mm aio are worthless you need

240 aio or higher.

what is your pc case ?

Unfortunately, anything above a 120mm will require a new case as there is only a 120mm grill on top. I am currently looking for a new case too! LOL I will eventually get my PC to be where I want it to be! As for the price.... I'm not sure. I don't need budget, but I probably don't need over the top. I also do not care at all for lights. My video card is the only thing with lights in my case and I would have done with that if I could have.

Thanks for the info!

The only other option is a air cooler Noctua NH-U12a or and this also depend on case and mobo /ram height is a thermalright phantom spirit 120 evo dual tower air cooler ..

Ive got a noctua NH-U12a on my 14600kf all intel build in a fractal nano case and the noctua works a treat !!

But we need to know the case ??

If you are going to replace the case then 240mm arctic freezer iii to a 280mm arctic freezer iii will do the job just check sizes as the freezer iii has a bigger rad than most other AIOs but still one of the best bang for buck AIOs on the market !!
