Question on HDCP

Looking to upgrade my video card to a gtx 1060.Some are listed as HDCP ready.What can a card do that is HDCP ready that a card that is not HDCP ready?

All recent nvidia gpus support HDCP 2.2 as far as i'm aware.

Thanks-I would have figured they all would be also.But if,for example,you look at newegg gtx 1060 6gb supposedly only 83 out of 126 cards are HDCP ready.Just trying to figure out if that is going to be important.

Unless you use your PC to play protected discs with a TV it's a non issue.

Again thanks-I'm not sure if it's the same issue but my current card won't play 5.1 over hdmi to my avr-had to use optical.It works but I'm trying to avoid similar problems in the future.Now using plex and a Roku box for that function in any case.
