Question Question regarding cpu and gpu

Hello!

I want to ask if mt current gpu, a Sapphire Radeon RX 6950 XT NITRO+ 16GB GDDR6 256-bit would work fine with a AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
I am gaming at 2K res.

Yes, that combo will be just fine, as the 6950XT was designed for 4K 60Hz gaming when it released, and is by no means a slow card, even today. Remember that large CPU gains you see in benchmarks are typically a result of 1080p, because margins between faster CPUs drops significantly at higher resolutions. That isn't to say buying a 9800X3D won't improve your gaming experience, but selling your card and investing in a newer one, (perhaps a Nvidia 5000 card) would improve your gaming experience far more than the 9800X3D.

6950xt is still a fast gpu. Should be fine as long as your psu is strong enough and in good shape. I think according to a chart that it’s about the level of the 7900xt.
