Hello,
I am thinking of getting an upgrade on my PC (used mostly for older or multiplayer games like CS GO, Dota 2, LoL) and i reached an point where i found an Core 2 Quad Q6600 to replace my Pentium Dual Core E6600 with 2Mb cache but i saw the TDP sheets on ark Inte, for the E6600 are 65W and for Q6600 on intel are 105 but on Motherboard support site at CPU Support the Q6600 is rated at 95W TDP.
My motherboard is MSI G41M-P26 and i have an GPU MSI R7 250 OC and the Power supply is 480W (at least this is written on the label).
Links to Motherboard Support http://

Intel website for CPU http://

The reasons i wanna do that is so i can do streams in games without fps drops down to 10-15 from 60-70 in Cs GO or other games like Minecraft when i stream or record in 480p or higher.

Frankly, I don't see a problem here. If the motherboard says it "supports it", then I would give it a go, considering the core 2 quads are not really that expensive. What GPU are you using?

GPU is an MSI Radeon R7 250 OC at 2 Gb DDR3 with 128 Bit at 1050 up to 1100 Mhz

You could even try a core 2 extreme if the board will support it. Eventually, look for a GPU with GDDR5. WAAAYYY better.

Well the DDr3 and DDr5 the guy at the shop said they are really close in poerformaces as they had close price.

It is my observation GDDR5 can be faster, depending on the bus width. The kicker though is the amount of stream processors, or in NVIDIAs case, CUDA cores.

I am aware of that, here ius the link to the GPU i have ( boutght it about a month ago as release date is dated december 2013, The price difference to an 1 Gb DDR5 was 5$)
Here are the GPu specs :
Graphics Processing Unit AMD Radeon™ R7 250
Interface PCI Express x16 3.0
Core Clock Speed (MHz) 1050, Boost Clock: 1100
Memory Type DDR3
Memory Size (MB) 2048
Memory Interface 128 bits
Memory Clock Speed (MHz) 1800
D-SUB Connectors 1
DVI Connectors 1 (Single-link DVI-D)
HDMI Connectors 1 (version 1.4a), Max Resolution: 4096x2160@24 Hz
OpenGL Version Support 4.3
Crossfire Y(Software Support)
Card Dimension(mm) 185x111x35mm
Card Weight 352
HDCP Support Y
HDMI Support Y
RAMDACs 400
DirectX Version Support 11.2

I have nothing to say about it, works great from 30 Fps on medium details in Counter Strike Global Offensive with it i jumped to about constant 40-50 in full details and in medium details on 1920-1080 i have 60-70 constant with jumps to 80-100 regarding map areas.

The CPU is an issue now as i wanna stream and record some epic moments but it can't handle the stress of doing to many things at once.

I understand what you mean about the processor being an issue. That is why I left the Core 2 series in the first place. I am looking to get a Core 2 Extreme for some fun over clocking, so I don't break something expensive.
