Question regarding DX12

So when will DX12 come out completely or is it already out or does it depends on which games it uses and is it already out?
And what about multi-GPU support how will this work? Will I be able to use this with my old 760 mixed with my 970 even if they are different brands and my motherboard only supports crossfire?
How will this work performance wise?
And will we need some kind of SLI/CROSSFIRE bridge?

everything will settle down in 2 years most likely same with dx10/11. the first gen card for any given dx generation usually struggles.

There will be a few games coming out to support DX12 this year. For example, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex for PC coming to PC in Spring, which I'm very excited about.
