Long time visitor, first time posting.

I have worked with the hardware side of pc's for a long time but up untill a year ago I was promoted at my job to network so...Make a long story shotr. I am so out of the loop it isn't funny.

IN ANY CASE. I was looking to put together a PC. Now I have all the guts... Basically the Creative Mp3 live card. My 3com nic. But I just bought a Voodoo 5 5500AGP and I need to get a Motherboard that supports 4x AGP. I really don't care if it is a AMD board or Intel Board. I was always an Intel person but AMD has really made their mark. So I thought hey maybe the msg board people could lend me a hand.

Thanks!
Adam

I know for a fact that most modern Athlon/duron boards support 4x AGP, and although I have not been checking into Intel boards lately (no reason to) I'm almost positive their modern stuff would as well. If I may make a suggestion, The Abit KT7 RAID and Asus A7V are awesome mobos for the AMD platforms and both support 4x AGP. My super7 board only supports AGP 2x, but now-a-days everything seems to be going AGP4x or pro. May I suggest that you research the boards thoroughly as the voodoo5 is a huge card and needs room around the AGP slot. I hope the voodoo5 works out for you, cause I have only heard bad stuff about 3dfx stuff. Good luck.
