Questions before first overclock

Greetings guys, longtime lurker, first time poster.

I just went through a new build and I have the hardware to overclock with stability if I play my cards right (Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z, AMD 8350, Corsair H80i cooler, Corsair AX860 psu) but I wanted to get some opinions before I start cranking it up.

For monitoring I currently have the Asus AI Suite, which shows my idle temp is around 32c (which seems high given my cooler). I also have the CorsairLink software, which seems to be generally frowned upon for accuracy, showing my idle is around 12c (which seems low). To try to shed light on this discrepancy, I downloaded SiSoft Sandra, because it's free and shows what I needed. The hardware monitor in Sandra shows temps right in line with what CorsairLink shows.

Should I trust Sandra and CorsairLink and ignore Asus AI Suite's readings? Does anyone have any other recommendations for software that may give me a true reading, if these are misleading? I'm not changing anything until I have a concrete idea of where my CPU temp stands.

Thanks for the input!
