Hello all,

I recently finished building a PC (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ZovP) and first of all, I highly recommend every part in this build except maybe the PSU because of coil whine and case vibration. Next, with Christmas coming soon, I have several choices between upgrades on my rig. The first would be just to get a new 1080P 24" monitor (upgrading from old HP 900P monitor) and no second GTX 770. A side question is if anyone knows the performance hit going from 900P to 1080P and if it would be worth it to SLI GTX 770s to compensate for the performance hit? The next option would be to get a specific Asus monitor that is upgradeable to GSYNC and is 144 Hz and 1080P. Will I need to get a constant 144 FPS with this monitor or would VSYNC at 60 FPS look fine (same as 60 Hz) until I upgrade it to GSYNC? The next option would be to just get a second GTX 770 but no monitor upgrade, and wait till my birthday to get a GSYNC monitor. The final option would be to get the 1080P monitor and another GTX 770 and wait till next year to get a GSYNC monitor. Thanks very much for reading this and helping me make a decision!

Precisely what i said! an Ultra Wide monitor, IPS would be SUCH a nice upgrade!, will never regret it.
HOLD YOUR ASS RIGHT HERE! ahahahah sorry your taking a real fast dive going down. What G-sync does is keep focus on moving things.

Scroll your page down really really slowly, try read text with your eyes!: you CANT----Move an A4 with text really slowly over the table, try read a sentence--- you CAN.

if they can actually pull that off!! im switching GPU's, anywayz....WHAT performance hit lol, if you already have one 770 thats fine, HD is absolutly nothing these days.

I run BTF4 on ultra, 1080p and get anywhere between 60-150, Stable at 60-90. wait till next year for the G-sync monitor, but its not really that necessary. We are doing it for years without, dont see the problem.

Just saying, with your GPU you could go Ultra wide monitor, check youtube and see how it looks for you.

I'd probably grab a nice IPS monitor, 144hz just isn't worth it in comparison to color and viewing angles IMO.

Though Gsync might be. I hear majorly positive things about it though.

Personally I'd grab the new monitor, whether its IPS/TN/etc and has Gsync or not depends on your personal preference.

And no, upgrading from 900p to 1080p won't be a noticeable performance hit. Maybe a couple of FPS but thats it.
