Hello all! Not new to building PC's at all, however this is the first time using an SSD on any of my builds. (Embarrassing yes I know, but the past build was a budget build) With this new PC I'm building I bought the best of the best. So anyways on with my question! The SSD I bought was the Crucial T700 4 Gigabytes edition without the heatsink. It was only through getting everything shipped that I realized SSD's need a heatsink. (I was always under the impression that the motherboard cooled it. Which brings me to my next question.) Because obviously a lot of motherboards do have that built in heatsink used to cool down your SSD. I have the Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Hero, and seeing as it's an expensive and very well built motherboard, and seeing that it has built in heatsinks. I should be good right? Just wanted to ask and make sure!
