Quick question about transferring files to another drive

Ok so recently i got an OCZ Vertex 2 60gb SSD to replace my OCz Vertex (1) 30GB SSD, which is used just to hold my OS (Win 7) and drivers. I was wondering if i just plugged the new one in, and copied all the files on the current 30GB one, shut down the pc then restarted with the new 60GB one (with all the copied files), would the computer function normally as if nothing changed (aside from slightly higher performance and more storage space)?
PS: If it makes a difference, i also have a 1TB HDD that stores all other files (docs, games, music, etc.)

you need to clone the drive copying will not work
