Hey guys, I recently went through an upgrade of an old PC I now use for specific games.

My Rig is:

Motherboard: [P6X58D Premium](https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P6X58D_Premium/specifications/).

CPU: I upgraded from a I7-920 to a [Xeon X5675](http://ark.intel.com/products/52577/Intel-Xeon-Processor-X5675-12M-Cache-3_06-GHz-6_40-GTs-Intel-QPI)

GPU: I currently have 2x 780 TI SC's,

RAM: I currently have [4x 2GB sticks of Corsair Dominator totaling 8GB](http://www.corsair.com/en-us/cmd4gx3m2a1600c8)

My question is this: This motherboard supports triple channel ram, and right now I have 4 dual channel sticks in there. I want to upgrade from 8gb to 16gb ideally, but I could settle for 12 if it's faster ram as well. What ram do I get? Would it be more cost effective to just get 16gb of dual channel ram and slap it in there and not run it in triple channel? or do I get triple channel? All the triple channel ram I've found it still pretty pricey probably because it was never really popular. What are my best options?
