[SOLVED] Quick question

i ave 2 sticks of ram at 2133mhz 8gbs and i want to upgrade to 16gbs 3600mhz ram. My motherboard only supports 2133/2400mhz. Do you think that i would have any problems if i install 3600mhz ram in that mobo?

I would recommend picking up something you know for sure is supported by your motherboard.

Otherwise you can give it a shot, it should downclock itself to a lower speed and it will probably work...however there's a chance it might not, so be prepared to possibly have to return it in the event that your RAM doesn't want to downclock itself for what ever reason.

The rated RAM speed of 3600 MHz is only its max guaranteed speed. It will run at the board's default speed (or whatever you set).
