Quick question

I'm having some scratchy noise in my IBM 13.6G old HD and when that happens it slows down for a bit. Do you guys know what the problem that could be? Thanks.

Replace it! The heads are dragging along the platters most likely!

Lars is right on here, don't even run the machine until you install the new drive and are ready to transfer over the OS and data. Get a new drive!!!!!
