Oh and it's a little off-topic, but I can't wait until Supreme Commander comes out. Total Annihilation is still one of my most frequently played games.

i second that (game part) TA rocked, and still does i just can't find my disc 🙁.

If I were you I would get the Audigy 2 and use the money I saved on a future upgrade, unless it is an absolute priority to future-proof. I have an original Audigy and it's more than enough for me, for watching movies and gaming. I was thinking about upgrading to an X-Fi but for now it really doesn't make sense to me. Just my 2 cents.
