[SOLVED] Quickbooks 2005 Pro won't run after W10 update

Since the September update for W10, I am unable to get my old Quickbooks version to run. It opens but "ran into problem, will have to shut down" message appears.

I have been running in compatibility mode for several years without any issues.

I'm winding down a business and don't want to invest in new software. Is there a work around. I've considered buying an older, used computer & simply installing the software.

What are my options?

The easiest option would be to create a dual boot environment using windows 7. It is simple to do if you have reasonable computer competency, IE know how to navigate the BIOS and make a hard drive partition. There are too many excellent online tutorials to point to.
