Hello! So I just installed my i5-3570k into my new motherboard. I was pretty excited for QuickSync and generally a faster cpu than my Athlon ii x4 640. Anyways, I went into the OBS Encoding settings and noticed that I can't select QuickSync. I went to my resolution settings and enabled my "Display device on: VGA" and selected "Extend these displays" and still no dice. I installed the drivers for the igpu and it works, I even used my second monitor on it. I unplugged that monitor to see if that's the reason why it didn't work. I set everything up in my bios too, anyone know the issue? Thanks!

Solution
Thought you were editing with powerdirector. Other than that try rolling back to older drivers, become some versions for some reason don't support it, but first try the QuickSync DDLs.
If you are using windows 8, the driver installer of Intel for some reason does not install the QuickSync DDLs. The cure is to download the ZIP version of the Intel drivers, and to copy all the files in the "MediaSDK" folder to your OBS folder. Hope it helps.

Also check if your Power Director is using the right GPU.

Hey thanks for replying!
I'm using Windows 7, does the following still apply? Also what do you mean by power director? Thanks!

Alright thanks, I'll try them!

Thank you very much, that solved the problem!!
