I'm planning to get the ASUS Prime X570-Pro (and nabbing a 5800x when it's available), and either https://www.newegg.ca/corsair-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820236647?Description=corsair%20dominator%20platinum%20white&cm_re=corsair_dominator%20platinum%20white-_-20-236-647-_-Product or
https://www.newegg.ca/corsair-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820236648?Description=corsair%20dominator%20platinum%20white&cm_re=corsair_dominator%20platinum%20white-_-20-236-648-_-Product

But checking the memory QVL for this board, I do not see those RAM modules in the list. In fact, I don't see any white version Corsair Dominator Platinums in the QVL. How set in stone is the QVL in these cases?

The QVL list is not set in stone...

The QVL list is not set in stone.
It is the list of memory that was actually tested with the motherboard and passed.
Many times....if you match the specs....memory will work that is not on the list.
Although, sometimes it won't.

And sometimes....I have even had memory on the list not work....but if it's on the list....I think it probably has the best chance of working.
