I have a recently acquired a used Thinkpad R31, loaded with a legal
copy of WinXP Home, but no disks came with it. I would like to
clone this drive to another spare hard drive. I note there is an
accessory hard drive adapter available that fits within the CD bay.

On eBay, what are the magic part numbers and/or description I should
be looking for?

You'll fnd it cheaper and simpler to buy an external USB IDE hard disk drive
for this purpose and use Ghost to clone from the internal drive to the USB
external drive.
