Hey guys I just finished my new build. Everything is running great so far. I have a 4770 i7, asus z87 pro mobo, asus 650 ti gpu, coolermaster 212 evo, firewire card, and a fractal r4 case.

The case has its "moduvents" where the side and top vents are covered by sound proofing.

I was wondering if this will make the inside to hot. Should I take the vent covers off? Also this case has a fan controller setting. What would you say it should be on? 5v, 7v, or 12v?

thanks!

I can personally attest to the fact that keeping those vents closed off with the sound dampening panels will increase ambient temperature inside the case by 5+ degrees. For you it won't be as bad since you're only running one graphics card. I was afraid to remove the panels because I thought it would make the rig louder, but I don't really notice a difference. I took the top ones off to mount the radiator for my cooler, and I eventually took the side panel one off because my graphics cards generate massive heat at full load and the side panel happens to be right in front of my cards.

I personally left the fan controller out of my build. My motherboard can individually control all the fans anyway, and you can do anything else you...
