Question R5 2600 or R7 1700

I am wondering which cpu to get, the 1700 has more cores but 2600 higher clock speed, I will be pairing with a Sapphire RX570 ITX, the 1700 and 2600 are the same price but the 1700 comes with a nicer cooler, which should I pick?

For gaming, I'd prefer the 2600, ...supports faster RAM speeds. (Not as if 6c/12t CPUs are struggling in games despite the existence of many 8c CPUs...)

I will probably go with the 2600 because i'm getting 3000Mhz ram anyway, the 1700 just seems alot better as a desktop cpu but 2600 better for gaming.
